Revolt in Congress Against PATRIOT "Compromise"
Late Friday, there was word that Senators and Representatives
began heading home for the two-week holiday recess without
voting on the PATRIOT renewal. The Washington Post reports
that some lawmakers believe a bill will be passed before the
end of the year, but others were not so sure. The PATRIOT
Act expires on December 31.
Earlier this week, when the legislative conference tasked
with reconciling the House and Senate versions of the PATRIOT
renewal bill started circulating drafts of its so-called
"compromise," a vote seemed certain by the end of the week.
But the civil liberties community recognized the conference
report for what it was: the same old PATRIOT with illusory
reforms.
Luckily, several dedicated and patriotic Senators and
Representatives--yes, Virginia, they do exist!--recognized it
too. Now, it seems the stage is set for a public debate on
PATRIOT and civil liberties. Stay tuned.

It is well noted that many are wrongly imprisoned for daring to question the validity of the Hollocast. Just as with many other truths we later discover, the truth behind the holocaust may very well be the ultimate Pandora's Box. Not that one death was not too many, nor that any amount of torture is acceptable. But to continue to use those deaths, and repeatedly lie on the true figures of those deaths for a profit, or lie about how they really occurred, does matter.
When Israel continues to reap billions each year on the coattails of the deaths of the holocaust, it would appear appropriate to investigate and validate the claims.
Repeatedly we see the opposite is true when we research historical events. Those who have done serious research on the halocaust are often imprisoned and held without rights for years if they dared to go public with their findings.

We need to think about this...."If the stories are true and can be validated, then no other research could threaten it." Will we face prison years from now if we dare to tell our grandchildren the truth of the OK bombing, 9/11, Iraq, Katrina, GMO foods, vaccines, etc? The thought police are working on that.
The brainwashing continues each day that Bush redefines who the "terrorists" are. The anti-semantic bills have not passed here....yet. But they have extended a LOT of effort to implement them here in the US with repeated bills introduced. Like Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum- Bush and Blair work in sync with their respective countries to implement what they plan to go global with.
To believe or not believe in the accounts of the holocaust should not been seen as an imprisonable offence. They should be deemed as nessasary for historical validation. Because the false history of vaccines alone has already shown us that the lies will be repeated for centuries when they refuse to show the true history and many more will suffer if they do not know the truth. It is when we stop asking for proof and verification that we will fall for anything.

THE VEIL OF BERTA Presented by Yael Martinez
This film delicately narrates the story of Berta Quintreman, an
elderly indigenous woman who, at the age of 88, led the last group
opposing the construction of the Ralco Project, a gigantic dam that
will stop the flow of the Bio Bio River and flood the land where her
native Mapuche Pewenche community has lived for centuries. A woman
with a strong personality and a unique blend of humor and energy,
Berta lives alone on her small pieces of land and observes all the
traditions of her people. On a daily basis she greets the trees and
the sun, drinks mate (a traditional herbal tea) with her dead, and
says her prayers. But at the same time we will see that she confronts
the authorities of Endesa (a Spanish transnational company) and the
Chilean government. She manages to halt the machinery and works
together with other families to prevent the flooding of their land.
The Mapuche people are the largest indigenous tribe of southern
Chile. After the ending of Pinochet's military dictatorship and under
increasing pressure from forestry companies, the Mapuche took up the
struggle in the 1990's to recover their territory. This film is
directed by Jeanette Paillán. Jeannette herself will attend the
showing to comment on her work and the situation of the Mapuche
people today. Jeannette's works have been screened internationally
since 1994. Her first documentary, Wallmapu, was awarded at the 2003
Human Rights Film Festival in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Jeannette was
also festival coordinator of the 2004 CLACPI Festival of Indigenous
Film and Video in Santiago, Chile.

Climate Crisis, USA Join the World!
http://www.climatecrisis.us today announced that it is
organizing actions across the United States on and
around December 3 to demand that the U.S. government
support action that is commensurate with the urgency of
the deepening climate crisis.
"Scores of Stop Global Warming local actions will be
happening during the Nov. 28-Dec. 9 time period when
the huge, United Nations Climate Conference in Montreal
takes place," said Ted Glick, spokesperson for the
group. "We will be acting in concert with hundreds of
thousands of people in at least 28 countries around
the world who are making December 3rd an
International Day of Action to Stop Global Warming."
The Climate Crisis group is demanding that the U.S.
government join the world by ratifying the Kyoto
Protocol.
Climate Crisis also demands that the federal government
withdraw its annual $25 billion in subsidies for coal
and oil and create equivalent subsidies for clean,
safe, non-nuclear energy alternatives; that it
dramatically strengthen energy conservation and fuel
efficiency standards; that it plan for a just
transition for workers, Indigenous communities and
others affected by a change to clean energy; and that
it actively defend the world's forests and support
community-run tree planting campaigns.
States where local actions will be taking place
include: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado,
Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Illinois,
Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan,
Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio,
Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Utah and
Washington.
In D.C. on December 3, scores of hybrid vehicles
organized by the Chesapeake Climate Action Network will
circle the White House. In New Orleans the Alliance for
Affordable Energy will be holding a Stop Global Warming
event in the French Quarter. In Los Angeles on December
2, the Labor/Community Strategy Center will be doing an
action calling for an expansion of the city's bus fleet
to provide badly-needed public transportation which
will also cut down on car-producing greenhouse gases.
And in New York, also on December 2, a coalition of
groups will rally in Foley Square across from the
Federal Building calling for the federal government to
stop its obstructionist efforts and instead act to
address this urgent crisis.
In many localities, following the lead of organizers of
a massive march on December 3 in Montreal, participants
in the actions will try to hold their breath for 60

clean air is to all living things. It reminds us of the
urgency of our work. It is a metaphor for what people
on some Pacific islands may soon have to do as the
oceans rise and their islands disappear and breathing

Dec 17th, Third Annual International Day to End Violence Against Sex
Workers
International Day to End Violence Against Sex Workers is meant to
call attention to hate crimes and violence against sex workers all
over the globe. Originally thought of by Dr. Annie Sprinkle and
started by the Sex Workers Outreach Project USA as a memorial and
vigil for the victims of the Green River Killer in Seattle
Washington, it has grown to be a day for strategizing to end these
acts as well as remember the victims. Over thirty cities around the
world have participated in this event.
This year Sex Workers Outreach Project is expanding events to cover
the entire week of December 17th so that we may diversify the forums
for discussion around violence against sex workers.
The Panel Discussion portion of these events on Dec. 17th from
10AM-2PM will focus on both identifying forms of violence against sex
workers, including structural violence and stigmatization, as well as
thinking of solutions. Panelists will include sex workers' rights
activists, sex workers, prison abolitionists, law enforcement, and more!

VIOLENCE AGAINST SEX WORKERS?
One of the ways to contribute to this event is to submit original
artwork and or written word to be displayed at the candle light vigil
in Civic Center at dusk on December 17th. Make yourself heard in the
fight against this violence. Please submit your personal response to
violence against sex workers, your vision of a better future for sex
workers, and your message to the victims and/or perpetrators of these
tragedies.

"Unsilent Night," composer Phil Kline's free, all-volunteer outdoor
boombox holiday concert, returns to San Francisco for its third
annual performance on Wednesday, December 21, 2005, at 6:45 PM.
A moving piece of ambient public art, Unsilent Night can be compared
to a holiday caroling party, except that participants don't sing.
Instead, each carries a boombox playing a separate cassette, CD, or
MP3 that becomes part of the piece. In effect, Kline and his co-
performers become single elements in a huge, mobile sound system.
Performed within the confines of the city streets, Unsilent Night
reverberates off the cars and buildings, resulting in a magnificent,
drifting cloud of shimmering, echoing sound. The 43-minute piece
includes chiming bells, choral voices, and various electronic
effects. (Kline cites Brian Eno and Charles Ives among his influences.)
Kline has performed Unsilent Night in Manhattan every year city since
1992. In San Francisco last year, some 500 people took part. This
year marks the first chance for iPod users to participate, as Kline
will make MP3 files of the piece available on his website.
Participants are invited to bring a boombox to Mission Dolores Park
at 18th and Dolores Streets, gathering at 6:45 PM. After Kline
distributes tapes and CDs among the players, the group will begin the
piece, strolling a mile-long, predetermined route though the Mission,
Noe, and Castro districts. The event will be held rain or shine.
